Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen all feature in the star-studded 2025 Premier League Darts squad.
The tournament will be held on Thursday nights from February until May, with the sport's biggest stars competing for the prestigious title and £1 million prize money.
Littler and Humphreys are part of an eight-man squad, which also includes Van Gerwen, who is looking for an eighth Premier League title, and 2019 runner-up Rob Cross.
We take a closer look at the players chasing one of the biggest prizes in the sport…
Luke Humphries
PDC Medal of Merit: the first
last year: Runner-up (2024)
The best: He emerged as a competitor in 2019 and was runner-up to Littler in last year's final
Walking song: “I expect a riot” by the Tsar's superiors
Humphries dominated darts for a spell at the end of 2023, winning four major titles in the space of three months to vault to the top of the world rankings.
“Cool Hand” sparked his impressive streak by winning his first major title at the World Grand Prix, then followed up victory at the Grand Slam of Darts a month later with a win at the Players Championship Finals.
Humphries had the biggest win of his career when he captured his first world title against the teenage Littler in 2024.
He then won the World Cup for England in June alongside Michael Smith and made history at Blackpool in July when he became the second player after Phil Taylor to win a World Championship and a World Cup in the same year.
His year ended with a shock defeat to Mike De Decker in the World Grand Prix Final, an early elimination in the group stage of the Grand Slam of Darts, and then defeat to Peter Wright at Alexandra Palace in December.
Luke Littler
PDC Medal of Merit: 2nd
last year: winner
The best: Winner (2024)
Walk to song: “Greenlight” by Pitbull featuring Flo Rida and Launch Money Lewis.
Littler was handed his first Premier League cap last year following his impressive run in the World Series final, where he captured the imagination of the sporting world with his impressive rookie debut at Alexandra Palace.
The 16-year-old became the youngest player to reach the final as he lost to Humphreys, but 2024 has seen the Warrington star win 10 PDC titles, including the Premier League title on his debut, as he scored an incredible nine quarters in defeating Humphreys. 11-7.
He continued his remarkable journey by winning the Grand Slam of Darts title and the World Championship Finals before cementing his status as the game's biggest star by winning the World Championship by crushing Michael van Gerwen 7-3.
Littler also won the Bahrain Darts, Polish Darts Masters, Belgian Darts Open and Austrian Darts Open, as well as hitting four darts, taking his earnings to more than £1.5 million in prize money in just 13 months.
Michael van Gerwen
PDC Medal of Merit: 3rd
last year: Semi-final
The best: Winner (2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023)
Walk to song: “Seven Nations Army” by The White Stripes.
Van Gerwen has had more success at the event than any other player in its history, and the 'Green Machine' is now aiming to add to his record tally of seven titles.
The Dutchman is participating in the 13th consecutive match in the English Premier League. He has finished outside the top four just once this season, meaning Van Gerwen will be among the favorites ahead of the tournament once again.
He did not win a televised championship in 2024, for the first time in a calendar year since 2011, and was surprisingly dismantled by a 17-year-old Littler in a one-sided World Series final.
Rob Cross
PDC Medal of Merit: Fourth
last year: Sixth
The best: Second place (2019)
Walk to song: “Hot Hot Hot” by Arrow.
The 2018 world champion returned to the English Premier League in 2024 after missing the previous two editions, after finishing second in two major television events.
Voltage had an impressive run to the semi-finals of last year's World Championship before losing to Littler, his best result since winning the event. He suffered an early exit at the 2025 Worlds, losing to Scott Williams in the second round.
After lifting titles at the US Darts Masters and Baltic Sea Darts Open, Cross is back and is set to make his sixth Premier League appearance.
Wildcards go to…
Stephen Bunting
PDC Medal of Merit: Fifth
last year: Denb
The best: VIII (2015)
Walk to song: “Titanium” by David Guetta
Is Al-Rayat the people's hero?
'The Bullet' made an impressive start to the 2024 season after beating Van Gerwen to win the Masters, Bunting's first televised PDC title.
A World Championship semi-final is enough to take them to the Premier League for the first time in 10 years after finishing eighth in 2015.
Expect the crowd to chant “Let's go to the bunting mentality!” When the players arrived at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on the night of the 12th.
Jeroen Price
PDC Medal of Merit: 9th
last year: Seventh
The best: Runner-up (2023)
Walk to song: “Ice Ice Baby” from Vanilla Ice
'The Iceman' endured a nightmare campaign in his debut in 2018, suffering elimination without a win to his name, before finishing consecutively in the top five in 2019 and 2020.
He bagged a brace with nine darts on a stunning night in Belfast in the 2022 season, finishing seventh, and then produced his league-best performance in the 2023 event when he finished second behind Van Gerwen.
After reaching the final in Cardiff on the first night of last year, he was feeling positive about next season, but then only reached one final in Manchester nine weeks later, losing to Littler.
Chris Dobie
PDC Medal of Merit: tenth
last year: Denb
The best: He emerged as a contender in 2019 and 2020 and finished seventh in 2023
Walk to song: “Let's get ready to rumble” – PJ and Duncan
Chris Dobbie will make only his second appearance in the Premier League for Darts after reaching the semi-finals of the World Championship for the first time.
Dube's performances were largely disappointing in 2024, but his emphatic win over Gerwen Price in the quarter-finals at Alexandra Palace saw him through to the semi-finals, where he lost to Van Gerwen.
Hollywood won three Players Championship titles last year, including the Nine-Quarters title in April, and is a former Masters champion.
Nathan Aspinall
PDC Medal of Merit: eleventh
last year: Fifth
The best: Second place (2020)
Walk to song: “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers.
Aspinall, runner-up to Glen Durrant on his debut of 2020, returned for a third successive Premier League appearance.
'The Asp' had previously struggled with injury, but then returned to end his four-year wait for a second major television title when he demolished Johnny Clayton to win the World Matchplay Championship in 2023 for the biggest win of his career.
The Stockport star reached the semi-finals of The Masters and then reached the quarter-finals of the World Championships where he was thrashed by Littler.
