Former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, who was banned for 18 months for failing a drugs test, has dropped a big hint about where he sees himself playing next.

Dwight Yorke has asked the Red Devils to re-sign Pogba Because he believes that the Frenchman, even at almost 32 years old, is better than all the other midfielders at the club.

Given Ruben Amorim's penchant for hard work and dedication, it is unlikely that the Portuguese would consider such a possibility.

Paul Pogba is still looking for a new destination to play

Pogba in his prime may have been a different story, but he is not a player who seems to drift in and out of matches and only seems willing to do so in sporadic bursts.

Newcastle United are also credited with being interested in Pogbabut they also have a certain kind of work ethic under Eddie Howe.

However, neither club is likely to attract the French World Cup winner.

This is because, according to an interview he gave on Twitch, he only wants to play for clubs in the Champions League.

Only the Champions League will do the trick for Paul Pogba

The Magpies could end up in next season's competition but of course there is no guarantee and there is little chance that Manchester United will enter any European competition this season given their current Premier League position (13th) and how poorly they are playing.

“What the hell is he doing?!” Who is the former Liverpool star who says he is ready to 'kill' Luis Suarez after the training ground incident?

The other issue for any interested party could be a matter of personal terms.

according to AIScoreHe was earning £290,000-a-week at Manchester United and £165,444 at Juventus – before he was suspended.

If Pogba wants to keep that kind of salary at a new club, that could limit where he ends up.
