Anne Altman, the sister of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, has filed a lawsuit alleging that he regularly sexually assaulted her between 1997 and 2006.
The lawsuit, filed on January 6 in U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Missouri, alleges that the abuse began when she was 3 and Altman was 12.
In a joint statement regarding XAltman, along with his mother and two brothers, denied the allegations, saying: “All of these allegations are completely untrue.”
“Caring for a family member facing mental health challenges is extremely difficult,” the statement added.
“This situation is causing great pain to our entire family.”
In the file, which was seen by the BBC, Altman claimed that the abuse, which occurred over many years, included rape.
The last instance of the alleged abuse occurred when Mr. Altman was an adult but she was still a minor, the suit added.
The lawsuit requested a jury trial and damages in excess of $US75,000 ($60,100).
Ms Altman had previously made similar allegations against her brother On social media platforms like X.
Mr. Altman is one of the most prominent figures in the world of technology.
In late 2022, OpenAi launched the ChatGPT chatbot for generative artificial intelligence (AI).
