SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and his daughter Jo Ae attended New Year celebrations including fireworks and an ice dancing show, North Korea's official Korean Central News Agency reported on Wednesday.
Pictures published by state media showed that senior North Korean officials joined them in watching the events. There was no mention of any speech by Kim.
The previous day, KCNA said Kim pledged to strengthen the country's comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia in a letter to President Vladimir Putin.
