NFL player Xavier Leggett He has amazing taste when it comes to food.
The Carolina Panthers rookie, 23, appeared on the Tuesday, December 10, episode of the show “St. Brown Podcast” And he made an unexpected revelation about what he likes to eat.
After podcast hosts Amun Ra25, and Equal St. Brown28, asked Leggett what the “hottest food” he eats is When it comes to the “weird thing” he likes to eat, the athlete revealed that there is a certain type of animal that makes it onto his dinner plate.
“I eat raccoon,” Leggett shared with NFL wide receivers.
Then the clearly shocked St. Brown brothers asked him to explain what he meant.
“Like the raccoon you see in the trash,” Leggett said. “I hunt them. I kill them. I skin them. I cook them. I eat them. All of it.”
Leggett added that the last time he dined on a raccoon was On Thanksgiving We exchanged ideas about the taste of meat.
“Everyone is trying to make things still taste like chicken,” Leggett said. “But the raccoon has its own taste.”
The newbie went on to share that it's not just raccoons he likes to eat. According to the sports star, the squirrel and rabbit also often make his menu at home.
This isn't the first time Leggett has publicly shared his love of eating raccoon meat.
In November, Leggett took to social media to talk about his family's plans for Thanksgiving.
While many Americans traditionally like to eat turkey on the holiday, Leggett said raccoon was on the cards for him.
“Man, what I'm excited to eat today is that raccoon,” he said via an Instagram story posted on Thanksgiving.
“My cousin called me last night and told me they killed the raccoon two days ago. They took his clothes off and everything and washed him. Yeah, we're going to dive that day.”
This isn't the first time the rising footballer has made headlines for his views on food.
After the Panthers' training session in Munich, Germany, in November, Leggett tried some authentic German sausages in a fun video of RTL Sport.
“Should I cook it?” He asked very happily about the hot dog before taking a bite.
Leggett also had some thoughts about chicken wings while he was reviewing German offerings.
He admitted in the video that he was used to “a different kind of barbecue sauce.”
“I had some chicken wings earlier,” he said. “It had a little different taste.”
