I have a confession to make. After watching (and absolutely loving) The babysitterI stopped watching the second part of it, The Babysitter: Killer Queen, Because its reviews overwhelmingly indicate that it pales in comparison to its predecessor. Here I admit that letting outside influence dictate my own taste was the wrong decision I made because… Killer Queen It's the perfect sequel not to sleep on if you're basing your viewing choices on Rotten Tomatoes scores alone.
Past is prologue
2017 The babysitter It is a teen comedy with a simple premise that is executed flawlessly. The story revolves around Cole (Judah Lewis), a new high school student and outcast, who has a huge crush on his kind, considerate, cool, and disproportionately attractive babysitter, Bea (Samara Weaving). When his parents leave town in the evening, Cole is thrilled to learn that he will spend the night with Bee.
That is until Cole learns that Bee is the secret leader of a satanic death cult who needs the blood of a virgin in order to complete her deal with the devil so she can become the best version of herself. I could not have been more misguided in my assumptions about this film because it is so unabashedly self-aware that it proudly wears its tropes on its sleeve. Every encounter in Killer Queen It plays out, and at some points, there are health bars hovering over each character as they brutally disembowel each other to let the viewer know the outcome in no uncertain terms.
The Babysitter: The Killer Queen It was written off by critics as a stupid sequel that tried to expand too much, but subsequently became even dumber, resulting in a critical score of 46 percent. Rotten tomatoes. While I initially had my doubts about the series expansion, I wonder if anyone remembers how ridiculous that expansion was The babysitter It was with its delivery in the first place.
Solid sequel

But if you loved the first movie, there's no reason why I should think that would stop you from watching the sequel. Don't make the same mistake I did, because I'm now in great anticipation for the third and final part that is currently in development.
