2020 Cuban Olympian Andy Cruz is hoping Keshawn is successful in his title challenge against WBO lightweight champion Denis Perincek on February 14. Cruz says he wants to take the WBO belt from Keyshawn (12-0, 8 KOs) if he wins it. Berinchyk vs. Keyshawn will be shown on ESPN and ESPN+. The event starts at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT.
Andy refers to Davis as “my son” due to his many victories over him. However, he still wants him to defeat Perincik (19-0, 9 KOs) next month. He says he will watch the fight
History of domination
This will be Cruz's fifth victory over Keshawn. His record is perfect 4-0, He has repeatedly called out Davis, who has been promoted to the highest rank since turning pro, but with no luck. Kishun doesn't want to lose again, so he makes excuses.
Even if Davis defeats Perinczyk, he will not defend the WBO title against Cruz. This is the last person who would think about fighting him because he knows what would happen if they fought.
That would be like Keyshawn giving up the WBO belt. He's already said what he hopes to do if he gets his hands on the belt. Davis says he wants to use him to try to lure WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis into a unification fight. This is a pipe dream and there is no chance of achieving it because Tank is focused on fighting popular fighters.
Keshawn makes excuses for not fighting Andy Crews
- “He's not ready yet. He doesn't have a fan base. His whole fan base is built around me.”
- “This guy isn't trying to fight me. I'm going to knock him out. He's just not ready.”
- “We've already sent them the contract. I've already done the live broadcast with Eddie Hearn and you've asked me to prepare for the fight. I don't know what more you want me to do (for the Andy Crews fight).
I don't know how Keshawn can say with a straight face that Cruz isn't “ready” to fight him, when he beat him four times in the amateurs and looked better than him in the pros. Davis has looked poor in his fights against Naheer Albright and Miguel Madueno. These are the only semi-good fighters Keyshawn has fought since turning pro. The rest were scrubs.
“my son”
“I think my son has improved a lot. Hopefully he wins the belt to see if I can take it from him for the fifth time,” Andy Cruz said. YSM Sports Mediain response to Keyshawn David's challenge to WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk on February 14.
“Of course, I'll watch that fight. What kind of father wouldn't take care of his son?” Cruz said when asked if he would watch the Keyshawn vs. Berinchik fight.
