Rohit Sharma's recent form

Rohit Sharma's inclusion comes at a critical time as he seeks to regain fitness after a series of disappointing performances in international cricket. He has struggled with consistency in his last eight Test matches, including a lackluster display against Australia. With just 31 runs scored in five innings during his last match Down Under, the upcoming domestic match represents an opportunity for Rohit to find his rhythm ahead of future international commitments.

Why is Rohit Sharma participating in Ranji Trophy 2024-25?

The recent directive issued by the BCCI that centrally contracted players should participate in domestic tournaments unless they face fitness issues has played a role in Rohit's decision to play. This initiative aims to promote domestic cricket and ensure that national players remain match-ready.
