MSNBC political analyst Eddie Glaude Jr. argued during a chat on the network Monday that hate, greed and selfishness were at the heart of President-elect Donald Trump's political movement.

“So, that's a really important point, right? In the sense that you always had these three components and Ronald Reagan was able to balance them in interesting ways. And here we have the wealthy, right, in Elon Musk, right? Greed, you know , pulls sort of the promotion of his interests, and you have right-wing populism, right-wing populism that is sometimes expressed in terms of a focus on the American worker, but it takes the form of xenophobia takes the form of anti-immigrant, it takes the form of hatred,” Glaud said, noting The three elements of the modern Republican Party are corporatists, libertarians, and immigrant advocates.

MSNBC's Nicole Wallace He emphatically agreed with Glaude during the conversation and argued that understanding Trumpism was essential to overcoming it.

“So, we have a collision of greed and hate right in front of us, and that's the essence of Trumpism and MAGAism. It's always been greed, it's always been selfish, it's always been hate and now it's in full view of everyone,” Glaude said.

Trump said He supports H-1B visas and has admitted to using them on some of his properties.
