I'm glad Mike Tyson and Roy Jones came out of their fight or exhibition unharmed. But at the same time, I felt disappointed and kind of robbed after watching it. I think the main reason behind this is Roy Jones' performance and in the video below I talk about exactly why.
Now I wasn't expecting to see Roy Jones in 2010 but I was expecting something more than to see him just trying to kill time to get through the rounds.
I understand that he doesn't want to get hurt (and I don't want to see him get hurt) and that he was probably thinking about his health first and foremost. But they seem to have promised a lot in the lead up to this show. So I expected more than I got. But Iron Mike has lost nearly 100 pounds and is in good shape to do eight tours at the age of 54. This is amazing.
Even though I wasn't happy with this fight, I have nothing but respect for two of the greatest fighters to ever do it. In this video I give you all my thoughts on this topic and the future:
