Mohamed Salah acknowledged his pride in becoming the first player in Premier League history to reach double figures for both goals and assists before Christmas.

It's a feat that has never before been recorded in the Premier League, and while Salah admitted it was never his goal to become number one, it's another record he can be really proud of.

The achievements continue for Salah, who rose to fourth place LiverpoolCharts of the best scorers of all time.
With 229 goals to his name, Salah has surpassed Billy Liddell's tally of 228 goals, and will now set his sights on moving up to third place – a position currently held by Gordon Hodgson on 241 goals.
Salah said with a smile: “It is great to achieve this in such a big club, but the most important thing is that we won the match.” “Wherever I end up my career, I'm happy with that.”
