Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has dropped a worrying update on his future ahead of the big match against Manchester United this weekend.
The Reds host their arch rivals at Anfield on Sunday afternoon as they look to continue their strong start to the season which has seen them emerge as somewhat of a surprise title favorites.
Salah will undoubtedly be a key player again in this game, but his future is his and his Contract negotiations away from the field also dominated the headlines For the past few months.
So while many fans are focused on finding her Last minute tickets for Liverpool vs Manchester UnitedTheir heads have also certainly been turned by another update to the long-running Salah saga.
Mohamed Salah indicated that this will be his last season in Liverpool
When asked again in an interview if he thought this could be his final season at Liverpool, Salah again hinted that it would be, with contract talks likely not progressing well.
“So far yes, the last six months. There is no progress there, we are far from any progress. So we just have to wait and see.” The Egyptian international told Sky Sports.
“The thing on my mind is, if this is the last six months or year, what do you want to see in the future?
“Do you want to look back and say I was worried about the contract or nervous? I just want to say I had an unbelievable season.
“It's in my head right now. If I feel a little bit lost, I remind myself that I want to look back and say I had an unbelievable season. That's what I want to do.”
Can Salah hurt United again?
Salah scored against United when the two sides met at Old Trafford earlier in the season, and he will certainly fancy himself against a Ruben Amorim side who are desperately struggling for confidence at the moment.
Amorim recently led United to a huge win away to rivals Manchester City, but overall his side look far from being able to overcome an in-form Liverpool side.
It's hard to imagine the MUFC defense keeping Salah quiet for long, and it seems clear that these contract issues are not affecting the player on the pitch.
The 32-year-old continues to perform, and if he continues to play like this, he would almost certainly end his Merseyside career with a second Premier League title, which wouldn't be a bad way to go out.
