It was on January 22, 1988, at the Conference Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Holmes was 48-2, and the young Tyson stopped, 32-0, in his corner.
Holmes had just lost a pair of battles to heavyweight hero Michael Spox. After the first battle, he noticed that “Marciano could not wear my Jock belt”, after he lost for the first time a victory away from the Marciano 49-0 record instead of completing the new hero.
Muhammad Ali and the future president Donald J. Trump in Rangesside. When Ali was inserted into the ring, Holmes gloves first touched.
Then Ali walked to the youth champion Mike Tyson and whispered something in his ear. He later said, he said: “He kicked his ass!”
Tyson came out immediately after Holmes, because his strength was the former hero looking for a fear of the strength that Tyson had the young man. Holmes tried to tie Tyson knowing the battle he was on his hands.
With each round, Tyson continued to overcome the previous hero. In the third round, Holmes began dancing and getting rid of a blow to him as it was known in the past. There was no difference with the young Tyson, who exceeded the beating, and the punches fell to the joy of the crowd.
In the fourth round, Tyson fell to his right hand and below Holmes to the fabric, where the referee Joe Cortez counted to eight. Holmes woke up with a fighter look. Tyson was all parts of it again, and Holmes fell again with a right hand. Tyson was all over Holmes, as he dropped him the third and last time with the right on the chin while Holmes was lying on his back, where he was calculated at 2:58 of the tour!
Tyson answered the request of his idol, Ali.
In the previous Battle of Tyson, the Olympic Championship was suspended Terill Begz, who was afraid of Tyson in amateurs. It stopped at 2:59 of the seventh round in the conference hall of Atlantic City, New Jersey.
When Tyson was fourteen years old, he visited his school and remembered when Holmes beat his idol. He told his coach at the time, Kos Damato, “One day I will take revenge on the beating when I am older.”
After the Battle of Holmes, Tyson said: “It is a great thing that Holmes is in my record,” when Larry Merchant met him.
At the Battle of Tyson in November 1986 at the Hilton Hotel in Las Vegas, another fighter was arrested in the previous battle of the hero, Trevor Birby, 31-3-1, in the second round, and scored a pair of a knockout.
Tyson's coach at the time was Kevin Rooney, who many felt when Tyson refused, the hero was not the same.
Many fighters refuse their coaches when they lose a battle. In February 1990, Tyson, 37-0, lost to James Poster Douglas, 28-4-1, in Tokyo, Japan, in one of the largest disorders in the history of boxing.
Tyson has never had a chance to return a match as Hoilledd got former Olympia champion Ivander, “The real deal”, and they defeated Douglas in October 1990 because the knockout came out of the third round.
At the next Battle of Tyson at Caesar Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. His loss in the amateur for Henry Tillaman, 20-4, who lost it in the Olympic trials.
