The Dane County Medical Examiner shared his report late Wednesday with Fox News Digital, identifying 14-year-old student Ruby Patricia Vergara and 42-year-old teacher Erin M. West as the deceased victims in the shooting at Abundant Life Christian School . .

The report stated that West, of DeForest, and Vergara, of Madison, were pronounced dead at the scene and that preliminary examination results confirmed they died as a result of “trauma associated with homicide involving a firearm.”

The report also identified the alleged shooter as Natalie “Samantha” L. 15-year-old Robinau, who was also pronounced dead at the scene as a result of “firearm-related trauma.”

The medical examiner said further testing is still ongoing at this time.

“These deaths remain under investigation by the City of Madison Police Department and the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office. No further information will be released at this time,” the report states.

According to the obituary, Vergara was a freshman at Abundant Life Christian School and was described as “an avid reader, art lover, and sang and played keyboard in the family worship band.”

Vergara's aunt told Fox News Digital that it has been a “very difficult week” for their family, and that they are trying to get through her niece's funeral, which is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday in Madison.

The Madison Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that two rifles were recovered from the school after the shooting. However, Robinau allegedly used only one handgun.

During a news conference Tuesday afternoon, Madison Police Chief Shawn Barnes said, “Determining a motive is our top priority.” He added that the motive appeared to be a combination of factors, but did not provide further details.

“Every child, every person in this building is a victim and will forever be a victim,” Barnes said. “We need to know and try to understand exactly what happened.”

It was the police Barnes said he spoke with Rubenau's father and other family members who were cooperating and searching Rubenau's home. He declined to provide additional details about the shooter, partly out of respect for the family.

“He lost someone, too,” Barnes said of Rubino's father. “So we're not going to rush into information. We're going to take our time and make sure we do our due diligence.”

Barnes added that two students are still in critical condition and suffering from life-threatening injuries. A teacher and three other students were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Two of those individuals have since been released, Barnes said.

James and Rebecca Smith, whose 17-year-old daughter is a student at Abundant Life Christian School, told Fox News they knew all the victims and their families.

The Smiths said their daughter was not in the same class as Robinau, the alleged shooter, or knew her well, but said Robinau was new to the school and had enrolled at some point during the current semester.

They added that their daughter and her group of friends said they never saw Robinau talking to anyone at school.

The teacher who was killed had a daughter who played sports with Smith's daughter, and they talked games with the mother all the time, Rebecca Smith said.

She added that the victim was a long-time substitute teacher at the school and just became a full-time teacher this year.
