Kelly Stafford, wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, gave a contemplative look Posted on Instagram After her husband's team lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round on Sunday night.
With her husband finishing his 16th NFL season, the thought of retirement came naturally to commentary.
Kelly is not hopeful Matthew will retire from the game he loves, as she said she “can never get tired” of watching him perform every week during the season.

“There are not enough words to express how proud I am,” Kelly wrote in a comment on her post, which included photos of her husband and family. “I joke about us being old and tired, but honestly, I could never get tired of watching you there or watching our girls cheering for their daddy.”
However, Kelly left some thoughts for Rams fans, as it appears her husband may be considering hanging up his boots.
“I wonder if this is the end or not… I guess we'll find out,” she wrote.

Matthew Stafford, who turns 37 next month, said after the 28-22 loss to the Eagles that he's “going to take some time to think about it” regarding his career.
“I feel like I was playing pretty good ball,” he said via. New York Post.
Stafford's fourth year with the Rams ended with a playoff performance that saw a potential game-winning drive end with a fourth-and-long incompletion to his favorite target, second-year receiver Puka Nacua, on a ball dropped to the boundary.
Stafford passed 26 of 44 passes for 324 yards with two touchdown passes in snowy conditions at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, and was sacked five times by the Eagles' defense, including a crucial third-and-2 clearance of Jalen Carter in the red zone before the final incompletion.
But as Stafford mentioned, he can still throw the pigskin for 3,762 yards with 20 touchdowns and eight interceptions on a 65.8% completion rate through 16 games this season. He went 10-6 in those contests to give the Rams an NFC West title and another playoff berth with him at the helm.

He was famously traded to the Rams from the Lions, who acquired Jared Goff in January 2021, turning both franchises around. While the Lions got a new quarterback they could build around, the Rams used veteran Stafford and their own weapons to make a Super Bowl run that ended with them hoisting the trophy at their SoFi Stadium over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Stafford is currently under contract for the next two seasons, and head coach Sean McVay and the rest of the organization certainly want him to see it through.
But as his wife said, we'll find out what Stafford has in store for his NFL career later this season.
