Madeleine Goudreau, wife of Matthew Goudreau, announced the birth of her first child a few months after he and his brother, NHL star Johnny Gaudreauwere tragically killed by an alleged drunk driver.
Madeline announced Tripp Matthew's birth in a social media post over the weekend.
“The world of mom and dad,” the Instagram post read. The photo showed Madeline holding Tripp's hand with a sign in the background that read, “He's here.”

Matthew Goudreau, 29, and Johnny Goudreau, 31, were involved He was tragically killed on August 29 They were biking on a rural road in New Jersey the night before their sister's wedding when they were hit by an alleged drunk driver.
The brothers played hockey at Boston College, where they won a national title in 2012. Johnny Gaudreau would go on to play in the NHL, as he spent most of his NHL career in Calgary. In 2022, he signed a seven-year contract with Columbus Blue Jackets.
Madeleine and Matthew Gaudreau married in July 2021. The couple announced in June that they were expecting their first child.

Sean Higgins was charged with causing the deaths of the Goudreau brothers.
A grand jury earlier this month indicted him on several counts, including two counts of second-degree vehicular homicide, two counts of first-degree manslaughter, fourth-degree tampering with physical evidence, and second-degree leaving the scene of an accident. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted and is scheduled to appear in court next month.
