Leicester City will face Wolverhampton Wanderers at the weekend and they have been dealt a blow ahead of the crucial encounter.

Wolverhampton striker Matheus Cunha was expected to miss the match due to a suspension from the English Association. The 25-year-old Brazilian was expected to be punished after he attacked a security guard during the match against Ipswich Town last week.

However, Wolves are yet to hear from the FA about any potential ban, so the Brazilian will be free to play on Sunday against the Foxes, according to the Daily Mail. Express and Star.

This development would be a major blow to Leicester who were hoping to face Wolves without Cunha.

The match between Leicester and Wolves could be a relegation six-pointer and it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.

The 25-year-old is a key player for Wolves and can hurt Leicester with his creativity, technical ability and goal-scoring prowess. Facing Wolves without the Brazilian would have been a huge advantage for the Foxes who looked weak in defence.

Meanwhile, Leicester City fans were clearly unhappy with the situation and some took to the X to vent their frustration.

Absolute joke. A ban should have been an absolute minimum after this video came to the attention of the FA. Inexcusable behavior and no player should get away with it knowing they will be banned after our match. Shocking.

Regardless, the Foxes are a quality squad and need to start performing at a higher level. They will need to start collecting points if they want to stay in the Premier League next season. It remains to be seen whether Ruud van Nistelrooy will be able to get the best out of his team in the coming weeks.
