While reflecting on the wildfires in his post on Monday, Griffin shared a set of photos via Instagram on January 12 of the devastation.

“It is impossible to express how much we feel right now,” Griffin wrote. “We have lost everything. 8 years of memories made in our home. 20 years of gear. My wife @quintessentiallykit was putting the finishing touches on the nursery for our baby boy who is due to be born in a few weeks. She has, over the years, poured her heart and soul into “He made the property a literal piece of paradise as anyone who has had the opportunity to visit can attest.”

Griffin continued: “We often say to each other, ‘I want to live together in this house for the rest of our lives.’ We convinced our entire family and close friends to join us in Altadena. Our parents were just around the corner. They lost their house, too.”

“I have never been more affected in my life. We are completely blown away. I can't talk or think about it without crying,” he wrote. “Like I said there are no words to describe how I feel. I'm doing my best. You all have completely changed what our future looks like in Los Angeles.

Griffin continued his emotional post in the comments section, noting that he and his wife are confident they “will be fine” as they begin parenthood.

Griffin pledged to continue helping those affected by the wildfires “in every way I can,” noting that his band and Taylor's band Dawes “will participate in raising funds for the community when the dust settles.”

In his photo slideshow, Griffin shared a photo of a burned CD on the floor. The last photo of the burning log was taken by Willie, he wrote. “It was one of the few things he found in the ashes of his home.”

Since the fires started, Moore has asked her followers to consider donating to Griffin and Kit's GoFundMe to support the family. After receiving backlash for participating in the fundraiser, Moore responded.

“(For) people wondering if we are helping our family or crediting some arbitrary amount of money that Google says someone is not being helpful or compassionate,” Moore wrote via Instagram on January 9. “Of course we are. Our friend Matt started this GoFundMe and I'm sharing it because people have asked how they can help.

“No one is forcing you to do anything,” Moore reminded her followers, adding, “We just lost most of our lives in a fire, too.” Please F OFF.”
