former Liverpool Defender Jamie Carragher gave Manchester United an F grade in his mid-season report. The Premier League season is almost halfway through, with clubs now preparing for the busy festive period. Carragher gave his former club Liverpool an A grade.

Carragher said he would have given Arne Slot's side an A+ grade had they not dropped the points at home Nottingham Forest And Fulham. Forest, managed by former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo, received an A+ grade from Carragher for their impressive displays this season.

Liverpool currently leads the league table with 39 points, behind Chelsea and Chelsea Arsenal They are far behind them in second and third places, with 35 and 33 points, respectively. Defending champion Manchester City received an E+ mark, after losing six out of 17 matches.

Manchester United's performance has been very poor this season, and currently sits in 13th place in the league table. They sacked former manager Erik ten Hag midway through the season, bringing in Ruben Amorim from Sporting Lisbon. However, the Portuguese has also found it difficult in the Premier League.

Only four points separate Liverpool and Chelsea Premier League table

Liverpool and Chelsea are separated by just four points in the Premier League table, but the Reds have a game in hand. The two teams are expected to compete for the title. Arsenal, in third place, is six points behind the Merseyside club, having played an additional match.

Carragher also spoke about Marcus Rashford's repeated omissions from the squad and opined that the latter's future at the club may be over. As for Manchester City, Carragher said they are desperate to rebuild ahead of next season.
