Luke Littler's remarkable rise to prominence has been demonstrated as the darts star becomes the third most searched person on Google in the UK in 2024.
Littler came from nowhere to reach the final of the World Darts Championships earlier this year as a 16-year-old, only to lose to Luke Humphreys. Since then, he has won the Premier League, the Grand Slam of Darts, and the World Championship Finals.
The interest generated by what happened at Alexander Palace and in its aftermath has seen it rank behind only Kate Middleton and Donald Trump in Google searches in the UK.
Prime Minister Keir Starker ranked fourth and King Charles seventh.

On the list of UK athletes most sought after, Littler was at the top, ahead of Lamin Yamal, Simone Biles, Jude Billingham and Adam Peaty.
“Being recognized on the two-year search lists is a huge honor,” Littler said.
“It's been an amazing year for me personally, and for the sport of darts as a whole. I can't quite believe I'm heading to a higher level than Prime Minister and King in the 'People' category.”
“In a year filled with such great sporting achievements, it is a proud moment for me to be named the most sought-after athlete of 2024.”
Littler's second crack at the World Series begins before Christmas with the tournament starting on Sunday. His second-round confrontation with Fallon Sherrock or Ryan Meikle is scheduled to take place on Sunday, December 21.
Littler is seeded fourth meaning he could face world number one Humphries in the semi-finals.
