Colin Hurley, the new midfielder At LSUOn Thursday morning, he was seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred on campus, according to a police report.
Baton Rouge Fire Department and LSU Police Police found Hurley, 17, unresponsive but breathing, shortly before 3 a.m. near the gates to one of the campus entrances, according to the report.

It is believed Hurley was driving a Dodge Charger at the time of the accident and struck a tree at South Quad Drive and Highland Road. WBRZ reported.
Hurley is a native of Jacksonville, Florida. He did not see any action during his true freshman season.

We are confident that Colin will make a full recovery from this horrific accident.”

The cause of the accident was not immediately announced, but officials said the defect was not believed to be a factor in the accident. University officials did not provide any further comment on the situation because Hurley is a minor.
