There's no pausing for breath for Liverpool as they prepare to play their fourth match in nine days – this time at Premier League leaders Nottingham Forest.

A relentless run of fixtures has yet to lead to an injury crisis for Arne Slott, but his players are no doubt feeling the pace as they juggle league games with FA Cup and Carabao Cup commitments.

Of the three matches Liverpool played last week, they only emerged victorious against League Two's Accrington Stanley. Manchester United earned a well-deserved point from Anfield before Tottenham upset the apple cart with a narrow victory against the Reds in the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Tuesday's game against Forest is another tough test, with Nuno Espirito Santo surprisingly sitting in third place after an impressive run of results. In fact, they are just six points off Liverpool's points tally at the top, having won their last six games in a row in all competitions.

Here's how Liverpool He can line up at The City Ground.

Goalkeeper: Alisson – Liverpool's first choice goalkeeper missed the FA Cup tie at the weekend, but will be straight back here.

Right-back: Trent Alexander-Arnold – After being criticized for his performance against Manchester United, Alexander-Arnold responded in the only way he knows how during his hour-long spell against Accrington – firing a shot into the top corner from 20 yards.

Centre-back: Ibrahima Konate – with Joe Gomez will be sidelined with a hamstring injury For the foreseeable future and Jarrell Quansah is not at the forefront of Slott's mind, it is Konate who is shaping up alongside Alexander-Arnold.

Centre-back: Virgil van Dijk – The Reds skipper had to be on his feet on Saturday, but will work to fit his boots a little harder in preparation for Chris Wood's 12-goal haul.

LB: Andy Robertson – Robertson's decline in performance levels has been noticeable, yet he remains arguably a more consistent client than Kostas Tsimikas. The Greek played the full 90 minutes against Accrington, suggesting he will return to the bench this time around.

DM: Ryan Gravenberch – One of the surprise packages of the season, it's probably a fair comment to say that Gravenberch is now one of the first names on Slot's roster.

DM: Alexis McAllister – Likewise, Mac Allister continues to go from strength to strength in midfield and looks like a bargain with each passing day. If there's one criticism of the 26-year-old, it's that he doesn't score enough goals – one in 18. Premier League Looks certainly aren't enough given its quality.

RW: Mohamed Salah – A player who has no trouble finding the back of the net is arguably one of the greatest players the Premier League has ever seen. 18 goals this season at a goal rate every 93 minutes is elite.

AM: Dominik Szoboszlai – The Hungary international will compete with Curtis Jones for the attacking midfield role – there isn't much of it but Szoboszlai could get the nod.

Left wing: Cody Jacobo – The Dutchman's arrival at Anfield after the 2022 World Cup surprised many, given the array of quality that then-manager Jurgen Klopp already had at his disposal. But Gakpo is now one of the main components of LiverpoolThe team's attacking line, with 12 goals in all competitions so far.

Striker: Luis Diaz – Diogo Jota is working hard to regain his starting place and with Darwin Nunez out through suspension, there is every chance he can get slot support. However, Diaz has been brilliant for Liverpool and is difficult to overlook.
