The Catalan giants are looking to sign a new left-winger and have been linked with a move for Diaz for some time.
They even followed the player before his move to Liverpool and also considered signing him last summer from the Premier League giants.
However, the move did not materialize for the Colombia international and he remained at the club to be part of Arne Slott's project at Anfield.

Barcelona have informed Liverpool that they are planning to make a €70 million move for their striker in this year's summer transfer window.
Barcelona president Joan Laporta is an admirer of the Liverpool striker and wants to bring the left winger to the club next season.
Diaz has been one of Liverpool's key players this season, scoring 12 goals and making three assists in 27 matches for the Premier League and Champions League leaders.
He is yet to sign a new contract with the club and his long-term future at the club remains uncertain.
His current contract runs until 2027 and the Reds will have to fight hard to keep him at the club.
