If one Jason KelseyQ His Philadelphia Eagles teammates He had a public social media page, likely his wife Kylie They made some intrusion into their personal lives.
As Kylie, 32, explained on Thursday, December 12 An episode of her podcast called “I Won't Lie.”she uses her cyberstalking powers for good.
“We've gotten to the point where we're almost stalking people on social media, just to say, 'Have you posted with a woman recently?'” “If so, we'll go to her page,” she admitted. “If her page is private, we'll ask before we follow her.” , but otherwise, if it's public, we can see that you're still together. “We'll just go into your DMs and say, 'Hey, hey.'”
Jason played his eight-year career in Philadelphia, and eventually, Kylie realized that she was the oldest and most experienced of all the players' wives and girlfriends. That's when she took it upon herself to reach out to the new players' significant others and offer assistance as they adjust to life in their new city.
She explained that this was much more effective than just having Jason ask his teammate for his significant other's phone number. Kylie joked that if she did, she wouldn't get an answer for “three years.” her guest, Alison Kucharczykwife of former NFL defensive end Isaac RochelleAgreed.
“You'll find the phone number in a wad at the end of football season in a shoe or something,” Kucharczyk joked.
Kylie continued, “We've really found that the best way to do that is to be direct and say, 'Hey, if you need anything, we're here all year round.' If there's any way I can be of assistance or (anything) you need… For a tip or even if it's just a restaurant recommendation, let me know.
Her helping hand did not go unnoticed. Wives like Kylie are doing “God's work” when they reach out to newcomers, Kucharczyk said. This was especially true for Kucharczyk, whose husband played in Four Cities from 2017 to 2023.
“I have to say on behalf of all the girls who have traveled to different teams, people like you make the experience so much better and so much less lonely,” she said.
Jason retired from the NFL in 2022Kylie said she hopes the remaining wives and girlfriends in the league will continue the tradition. She added that even if a player is traded, someone from the player's old team can put their significant other in touch with someone from the new team so they're not starting from scratch with every move.
“There is a very large network of women in the NFL and I think the best thing they can do now is continue to weave the network and make sure that women feel supported and connected and can do that independently outside of their husbands or significant other.” she said.
Now in their post-football lives, Kylie and Jason still live in the Philadelphia area. The two married in 2018 and have three daughters, Wyatt, 5, Elliott, 3, and Bennett, 1. Kylie is also pregnant With the couple's fourth child, another girl.
