Keyshawn Davis posted a photo of himself posing with his best friend, Shakur Stevenson, today on Instagram, asking fans if this is a fight they want to see. Shakur, the WBC lightweight champion, said this week he “will.”never” Fight Keyshawn without any amount of money.

The photo is a father

In the bout, Keyshawn looked like a big welterweight standing next to the normal-sized lightweight Stevenson. I don't know how Davis can get to 135, as big as he is, but I understand why he chose to fight in this weight class. They're easy picks, given his massive size at welterweight.

Keyshawn (12-0, 8 KOs) just uses fake hype to get people talking about him. He will fight next month against WBO lightweight champion Denys Berinchyk on February 14 at the Hula Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York. The event will be shown live on ESPN+. There is no buzz at all about the Davis vs. Perinczyk fight because the fans are not interested in it. Keyshawn chose the weakest link to fight for a world title instead of showing courage and going after the other champions.

The fight that won't happen

It's too bad that Keyshawn and Shakur won't be fighting because it means there will be an undisputed lightweight champion while the two share the same division and refuse to be confused. That's assuming Keyshawn can get a WBO title shot against Berinchyk because if he loses that fight against the weakest link, he'll never win a world title at 135. Keyshawn already looks formidable in the lightweight division, like a true welterweight.

I can understand the hustle on his part, where he's spent his strength fighting smaller guys at 135 instead of fighting where he should be at 147 against Jaron “Boots” Ennis. Keyshawn won't stand a chance against Boots, and he probably won't face any of the other belt holders in the welterweight division either. It is like a fish that can only exist in certain waters. Take the fish out of its environment, and it can no longer exist. That's Keyshawn to a T.

“Is this what you all want?” Keyshawn Davis said on Instagram about a fight between him and his friend Shakur Stevenson.

Perinchik Challenge

“On Valentine's Day, I didn't get the love. I'm going to go out there and get the knockout. 'Perinchik, you're one hell of a fighter,'” Keshawn Davis said on his page. YouTube channel, talking about his fight next month on February 14 on ESPN+ against WBO lightweight champion Denis Perincek.

“I'm firing him. You know what I'm doing. It'll be a great victory. 'Businessman.' Shout out to Perincek for giving me the chance, right? He gave me the chance, drew the big checks. We're all going to walk away happy. 'On February 14, it will be shown on MSG in the Hula Theater.”
