White House National Security Communications Advisor John Kirby He stressed that the government still lacks specific answers regarding the nature of drone sightings as public frustration grows.
“It turns out that many of the confirmed sightings were of manned aircraft,” Kirby said. “I didn’t say all of them, what I did say is that those are the ones we were able to confirm.”The story“There are certainly things that we haven't identified, that we don't know the answer to, and I would highly recommend that people who see these things and document them share that as much as possible with the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI.”

It's very hard to know, because we want to answer these questions just as much as people in New Jersey want answers to them.”
Kirby revealed that there was an interagency conversation Friday morning about this topic.
“We've now decided to use some additional technology in New Jersey and some additional staff to try to get a better idea of what these things are,” he said.
