John Cena He wants to win his 17th WWE World Championship, but he doesn't want to be cut short in the main picture. The Cenation leader will have to pass through 29 stars if he wants to have a chance at winning the richest prize in the field.

Speaking of the latest edition of What were they thinking? on Backstage corridorJohn Cena Sr. shared his thoughts on a potential world title win for his son, stating that he had an ongoing bet with his partner.

“Well, we'll see what happens. I have a bet with my friend Monsie. We watched Netflix Returns, when he first came back, and he did his little monologues in the ring – which is very old. Cena deflects, you know, 'My chances of winning the heavyweight championship seventeen times. Well, I might get “I'll get an Oscar before I get that (mimics Cena). 'And I'll say, 'Oh, here he comes.'”

He went on to place a $500 bet during Cena Jr.'s promo.

“Then he said, 'Oh, but I never give up. I never give up. So I'm putting myself in the Royal Rumble.' So she immediately said: “He will be a 17-time heavyweight champion.” So I said: I'll put $500 here, let's see what happens. She said: Are you betting with or against? I said, “When that happens, we'll open the envelope and see if you're right.” We'll see. (from 11:20 onwards)

John Cena has not won a world title since 2017 when he won AJ Styles To obtain his sixteenth WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble. Fans will have to wait to see if Cena will be able to beat Ric Flair's record when it comes to the most title wins.
