World Cup champion Jenny Hermoso of Spain was in court on Monday for a testimony in the trial of Luis Rubiales, the former football president who accepted her controversially during the celebration of the 2023 Cup.
During her testimony, Hermoso denied the claim of Rubiales that the qiblah, which caused global anger, was mutual consent.
Hermoso said in The Supreme Court in Madrid. “I think it was a moment that was stained by one of the happiest days of my life.”

Hermoso added that she “did not hear or understand anything” from Rubiales when asked if he had asked to kiss her.
She said, “The next thing he did is seizing the ears and kissing me on the mouth.”
Rubiales, 47, is accused of sexual assault and an attempt to force Hermoso, as well as others, to publicly support him.

He denied the charges against him, claiming that the qiblah was consensual and occurred in “a moment of joy.”
He argues that Hermoso “raised me” as a festive gesture and asked her to “a small kiss.” Rubiales claims that she said yes.
