Jason KelseyMain title Late night talk show It is really a family matter.
âObviously the show needs its own mascot,â Kelce, 37, said during the Saturday, January 18, episode of the ESPN show. They call it late at night. âWe went out and got the perfect design team for the job.â
In a pre-recorded clip, Jason and his wife Kylie Kelsey – Administrator They call it late at night Announcer – Asked their children to come up with a spell. Jason and Kylie, 32, have daughters Wyatt, 5, Ellie, 3, and Bennett, 23 months. (Kylie too Currently pregnant With child number 4, another girl.)
Before the younger Kelces could work on formulating their ideas, Jason tested them on their knowledge.
âDo you know what a mascot is? Who Eagles amulet?â he asked, to which Eli correctly identified Swoop. (Jason played center for the Philadelphia Eagles throughout his NFL career before retiring in March 2024.)
âWe need to create our own version of Swoop,â Jason said. âAnd I think it would be fun for us all to design it together.â
Wyatt, Ellie and Bennett then went to work on coloring potential mascots – with “something to drink” in hand.
âI think we have a spell, girls,â Jason said later. âWe have Wyattâs face, Ellieâs body, and then we have the âpizza handâ that I drew here (and) the âchicken legs.â Thatâs our mascot.â
White and Eli They chose to name their mascot “Dragon McFart-Fart Butt-Butt”.
âWell, he seems to be Irish?â In response, Jason scoffed, and later brought the full sketch into the ESPN studio.
Speaking to the audience, he excitedly said that the girls had âmasteredâ the artistic task.
âI think Ellie was looking for a face too, but she got a body,â Jason said. “I don't really know how (Kylie) got Benny to draw anything. I never asked Benny to draw anything.”
According to Kylie, Bennett contributed an “accidental scribble” that turned out to resemble legs. The drawing was the inspiration for the mascot costume worn by one of Jason's colleagues for the remainder of the broadcast.
âHi, I'm Dragon McFart-Fart Bat-Bat. It's so fun to be here,â the mascot shouted to Jason and Kaylee's amusement. âThank you so much for making me girls.â
Meanwhile, Jason was in awe that his kids had âmasteredâ the design.
âWell done!â âI don't even know what to say,â he mused further. âIt's so good. âŠI love this thing so much. It turned out to be incredibly perfect. âI hope we have him forever, but it's a shame we only have him for two more weeks.â
Kelsey They call it late at night It airs Saturdays at 1 a.m. ET during the NFL playoffs, which conclude in February with the 2025 Super Bowl.
