Investing.com — Japan Airlines Co. (TYO:) said Thursday it had been hit by a cyberattack, delaying some domestic and international flights.
Japan Airlines said the attack began at 7:24 a.m. (2224 GMT) and disabled internal and external systems.
In response, the airline temporarily disabled the router, causing a system glitch, and suspended ticket sales for flights departing on Thursday.
Japan Airlines shares fell 2.5% to 2,410.50 Japanese yen.
ANA Holdings Inc (TYO:), Japan's other major airline, said its systems showed no signs of being affected by any cyberattack, Reuters reported.
Earlier this week, American Airlines Group (NASDAQ:) experienced significant disruptions, briefly suspending all flights for an hour on Christmas Eve due to a technical issue with network equipment, impacting the travel of thousands of passengers.
