Pep Guardiola admitted that relief, not enjoyment, was the prevailing feeling after Manchester City's 2-0 win over Leicester City in the English Premier League on Sunday.
Savinho and Erling Haaland found the back of the net at the King Power Stadium as Guardiola's side secured a much-needed win – only their second in their last 14 games in all competitions.
But it was not easy at all for Manchester City, which was celebrating Guardiola's 500th match with the team. The Foxes put in a lively display, especially in the second half, and they will regret wasting several chances.

For the visitors, it takes some of the weight off the turbulent period the club has been through in recent weeks.
Regarding the result, Guardiola told Sky Sports: “We needed it. Every one of us.
“It was not an ideal performance but at the moment it is almost impossible to accept. We hope that the wins will put our mood in a better mood.
“It was tight. Twenty minutes into the second half they (Leicester) were much better. We don't have enough energy to keep going for 90 minutes.
“But hopefully the result will help us recover in the new year.”
The City coach added that it was difficult to feel very happy about the win given the recent results.
“It's not fun, it's just a break now,” Guardiola said. “This is the true word to express the feeling we have.”
