Teofimo Lopez took to social media today to complain about the higher rating, saying it is “Very expensive” For them to blame President Todd DeBoeuf.
Lopez claims that Dubov has not “loved” him and his father since 2018, which is why he has not been getting the important matches he desires. Fans see this as just a case of Teofimo (21-1, 13 KOs) failing to perform.
He lost to George Kambosos Jr. and has struggled in numerous fights since moving up to 140 in 2022. Increasingly, he looks like a fool with his rants on social media, talking about this and that.
Teofimo says he wants “Acquisition number.“This is something he actually asked for in a recent post on X.
Past performance
WBO light welterweight champion Lopez, 27, wants fights against Devin Haney, Terence Crawford, Gervonta Davis, Ryan Garcia and Jaron “Boots” Ennis. However, these battles were not achievable yet. He's not popular enough to get it, and his lackluster performance over the past four years has contributed to that.
Lopez looked like 24-karat gold in the first four years of his career from 2016-2020, but has failed to perform at the same level since 2021. It's clear to fans that Teofimo was fool's gold from the start, and he never was. As good as the public thinks.
