Commentator Tim Bradley took to his podium to lecture fans for describing unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 12 KOs) as having a “great time” beating Tyson Fury (34-2-1, 24 KOs) last Saturday night in Riyadh.

Former undisputed two-division champion Usyk, 37, beat former WBC champion Fury for the second time, making it look easy. Before Usyk defeated the “Gypsy King” for the first time earlier this year on May 18, fans dubbed the 6’9” British fighter “the best heavyweight on the planet.”

Goat case

Usyk knocked him out of there, causing fans to change their tune and say he was “washed out” or “wasn't that good in the first place.” However, 2012 Olympic gold medalist Oleksandr's victories over these top fighters make a strong case that he belongs among the all-time greats:

-Anthony Joshua
– Tyson Fury
-Daniel Dubois
– Mairis Bridis
-Murat Gassiev
-Marco Hack
– Michael Hunter
– Thabiso Mchunu
– Krzysztof Glowacki: *First defeat in his career
– Tony Bellew

“First of all, I'm not even going to talk about the fighting right now, but it's all this cool stuff that happens all the time. All the time is cool, are you kidding me?” Tim Bradley said Social mediain response to the praise Oleksandr Usyk received from fans after his victory over Tyson Fury last Saturday night in Riyadh.

“Man, look. Recency bias. “Just because he beat the top two heavyweights (Fury and Anthony Joshua) doesn't make him great at all,” Bradley continued with his downgrading of undisputed two-division champion Usyk.

“Usyk, he's not a great fighter at all. You all need to stop that. He's literally had seven fights. Give the guys in the heavyweight division. I understand he has the accolades. He cleaned up the division at cruiserweight. I get that. And now he's gotten to Heavyweight “I can't say he's out, but he beat the two best guys in the division,” Bradley said of Usyk's victories over two aging British heavyweights, Fury and Joshua.

Clean the partition

Usyk's victories over Fury, Joshua and Dubois meant he cleared the heavyweight division. This, coupled with his accomplishments as a cruiserweight boxer, makes him an all-time great and perhaps the best of all time.

“Now, you're saying he's an 'all-time great'. Come on, man. Great! Y'all need to stop that. He's a legend in his own right, but he's an all-time great. You're trippin',” Bradley said.
