BEIJING (Reuters) – Profits of Chinese industrial companies fell by 3.3 percent in 2024 compared to the previous year, official data showed on Monday.

This 4.7% decline extends from January to November, and compares with a 2.3% decline for the whole of 2023, according to data from the National Bureau of Statistics.

The industrial profit figures cover companies with annual revenues of at least 20 million yuan ($2.74 million) from their main operations.
