The Indian women's cricket team wrote history in the ongoing third ODI against Ireland Women at the Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot on Wednesday, January 15. It was an absolute massacre from the Indian batsmen, as the hosts posted 435/5 on the board against Ireland.

India women's team captain, Smriti Mandhana, was dropped at number 12, and Ireland had to pay the price for it, as she made her ODI hundred. Mandhana's opening partner Pratika Rawal also smashed a stunning century to help the hosts break all ODI records for India.

Posting 435/5 on the board against Ireland Women in the third ODI in Rajkot, India etched their name in history as they set a new record for their highest ODI total, across men's and women's cricket. India women surpassed the previous best of 418/5 for the Indian men's team against the West Indies in Indore back in 2011 to record the highest ODI total ever.
