“One of my favorite moments from Broad city “is the Season 1 finale, when Ilana suffers an allergic reaction to shellfish, and Abbi heroically carries her out of the restaurant after she accidentally stabs herself with an EpiPen,” Glazer, 37, exclusively reveals in her “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me” feature. The latest issue of Us Weeklyon newsstands now. “We were dying of laughter. I remember Amy Poehlerwho directed the episode, doing this silent laugh where she shook her shoulders up and down.
In the 2014 episode, titled “The Last Supper,” Abbi and Ilana have dinner at a fancy restaurant — one that people reportedly frequent. Beyoncé and Jay Z —For Abby's birthday. Poehler, who directed the episode, also stars as the chef at the restaurant.
About halfway through dinner, Ilana's face began to puff up, and she admitted that she was allergic to shellfish, but still wanted to eat the seafood meal anyway for the special occasion. As the night goes on, her allergic reaction worsens, culminating in a hilarious scene in which Abbi carries an EpiPen-fueled Ilana to the hospital.
Glazer – who offered his own position, Human magicnow streaming on Hulu — and Abbi Jacobson He produced five seasons of the series, which aired its final episode in 2019.
