Tarek and Heather Al Moussa don't let the past negatively impact the future, especially when it comes to developing healthy relationships within their family.

While Hall was dealing behind the scenes with The collapse of her third marriage With Joshua Hall, she found allies in her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and Heather.
Hall filed for divorce from Joshua in July, and since then she has leaned on the couple for support in unique ways.
Their volatile relationship was seen first-hand in a sneak peek at the upcoming show. “This is a competition. We have to give it our all. Whatever it takes to win, I'll do it. Holz rules!” Josh told Christina while driving. “You're supposed to say it with me, or repeat it, or something that shows you're with me.”

“Remember, you're Hall now. Don't get confused in this competition about your last name. You're rude.”
“I'm not talking too much,” Christina finally responded, and Josh said, “Yes, you say, and I'm just saying, 'I wish you'd shut up already.'”
Cristina sighed, and Josh replied, “My wife really pisses me off.”
While her marriage was unraveling on camera, Christina found a friend in Heather, and the pair regularly made fun of each other (and Tarek) on social media. When Heather and Tarek were asked if they would do “The Flip Off” again while announcing the air date of their HGTV show on Instagram, Christina was quick to jump into the comments with a mention of her soon-to-be ex-husband.
“Only if Heather is my next partner,” Christina wrote. “Tarik, you can have Josh.”

Christina's estranged husband was originally on the show, but has not participated since the former couple announced their divorce over the summer, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

While filming their new reality show, Tarek and Heather gave an insight into what it was like working with his ex-wife in a video shared on social media. Tarek tried to contact Christina by phone, but his calls went unanswered. “I blocked you,” Heather laughed when she realized.

At DIRECTV's Christmas at Kathy Hilton holiday event, Heather exclusively told Fox News Digital that her digital banter with Christina is “all in good fun, and we're just having a good time.”
“We film the show together, everyone gets along, we're raising kids together, and it doesn't happen overnight,” Heather said.

“I mean, obviously a lot of things have happened, but time heals a lot of things, and I feel like everyone is in a really good place right now and getting along with each other…that's what's most important.”

The former couple amicably has two children together now and will star together in The Flip Off, but they were in a very different place years ago when their marriage was ending in 2018.
“We were upset with each other,” Tariq said. and! news. “I was upset that she left me. She was upset that I acted the way she did. We still had to work together. It had a huge impact on our family.”
He added, “Time heals. Enough time has passed where all the anger, rage, and negative thoughts, I feel like they've finally gone away.”

“You can't co-parent if you're angry, or if you hold things against your ex-wife,” Tarek added. “If you don't forgive, you'll be stuck, and you'll never move forward. You have to do it for your children.”
He detailed his struggles with anxiety and depression, and the subsequent end of their marriage, in his 2024 memoir, “Turn Your Life Around: How to Find Opportunity in Times of Adversity—in Real Estate, Business, and Life.”

“I knew something wasn't right,” El Moussa admitted to Fox News Digital last year. “I was planning to go see another doctor and start to figure out what was going on with me. But unfortunately, I've caused a lot of damage. It's a little too late.”
After hitting rock bottom, Tariq accepted that “life wasn't fair” and began working on his new life.

“I knew it was going to be hard. I knew it was going to take a long time. I knew it wasn't going to be easy, but I knew I didn't have any other options. So, I had to work.” He told Fox News Digital at the time.

Part of his new life included finding love again and marrying his ex Playboy model Heather in 2021. They welcomed their son Tristan in 2023.
