House lawmakers voted Friday to approve a newly negotiated spending bill that included many of the same components of previous legislation — but without the debt limit provision that sparked consternation among many in the party.
Republican leaders shared the text late Friday, shortly before lawmakers approved the spending legislation, 366-34.
Lawmakers have been scrambling to move forward after President-elect Trump and his allies rolled out an initial bill on Wednesday, and a subsequent bill approved by Trump failed on the House floor on Thursday.

The bill, unlike the version rejected Thursday evening, removes the debt limit extension sought by President-elect Donald Trump, which would have included suspending the debt limit for two years.
This version failed to garner support among Democrats, who were more broadly opposed to the idea, and among fiscal conservatives within the Republican Party.
The new legislation includes provisions such as $10 billion in aid to farmers and farm subsidies included in the previous version of the bill — which many lawmakers viewed as must-have provisions.
It also includes $100 billion in disaster aid for US residents, including victims of devastating hurricanes in some US states.
“We will not have a government shutdown, and we will fulfill our commitments to our farmers who need help, to the victims of the disaster across the country, and to ensure that the military and essential services, and everyone who depends on the federal government to survive,” House Speaker Mike Johnson told reporters before the vote on Friday. : “Salary is paid during holidays.”
