Eddie Hearn says he has a crush on Keshawn Davis, having lost four times to Cuban Andy Cruz in the amateurs, and believes he will want to prove he is the better fighter in the pros.
Davis has repeatedly refused to fight Cruz, saying he is beneath him and has nothing to gain from fighting him. It feels like a completely outdated fear on Keyshawn's part, not wanting to get beat up and have his career crumble before it even begins.

Hearn feels the fight between highly ranked lightweight contender Keshawn (12-0, 8 KOs) and Cruz (4-0, 2 KOs) will have a big buildup due to their rivalry.
He says that if Davis wins the WBO lightweight title from champion Denis Perinczyk next month on February 14, he may want to set the record straight with Cruz.
Andy fights tonight against Omar Salcedo (20-1, 14 KOs) in a 10-round co-feature on the card of Diego Pacheco vs. Steven Nelson at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. If Cruz looks weak in this fight, it might give Keshawn some courage to finally fight him.
Keshun said this week that his focus is on winning the WBO belt from Perinczyk, then looking for a unification fight against IBF champion Vasiliy Lomachenko. He's counting on Top Rank being able to take the fight to his advantage.
