Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has insisted he wants to stay and fight for his place in the team amid speculation over a possible departure.

The 21-year-old has yet to start Premier League match since May and missed the current season for two months due to a broken foot.

The former Fulham midfielder became an increasingly prominent figure at Liverpool towards the end of Jurgen Klopp's tenure, but was unable to build on the positive pre-season he enjoyed under Arne Slott.

Brighton & Hove Albion and Borussia Dortmund Both have been linked with Elliott, and could potentially be offered a loan move from Anfield, but the player remains committed to the Premier League leaders and instead wants to force his way into Slott's consideration.
