The West Indies bowlers struggled to contain the Indian batsmen. Deandra Dottin, Afy Fletcher, Zaida James and Qiana Joseph all managed to pick up a wicket, but were largely ineffective against India's attack.

Chasing a challenging target of 359, West Indies relied heavily on skipper Hayley Matthews to anchor their innings. Matthews made a valiant knock of 106 off 109 balls, conceding 13 fours, but found little support from her teammates.

Early wickets were tied for the visitors as Kiana Joseph (15) and Nerissa Crafton (13) were dismissed cheaply. Shimaine Campbell chipped in with 38 points and Zayda James added 25, but the lack of big partnerships hurt the chase. A lower order contribution from Afy Fletcher (22) provided brief resistance, however The team was bundled out for 243 in 46.2 overs.

India's bowlers were effective in defending their total. Priya Mishra was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 49 runs in 9.2 overs. Titas Sadhu, Deepti Sharma and Pratika Rawal took two wickets each, while Renuka Thakur scored a wicket each. A disciplined bowling effort ensured that West Indies never got close to the target.
