Hamas confirmed that its military commander, Mohamed Dave, was killed in an Israeli air strike in the Gaza Strip last year.
The Israeli army said in August that it had killed Deif in the previous month, but Hamas has not confirmed this yet.
Hamas has also announced the death of Military Commander Marwan Issa.
The United States announced the death of Issa in March last year. At the time, he was the leader of Hamas, the largest who died since the war began on October 7, 2023.
