Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has urged Jack Grealish to work harder and regain his place in the starting lineup.
The 29-year-old played a crucial role in Manchester City's treble win in 2022-23, appearing in 50 matches in all competitions.
Grealish contributed five goals and provided 11 assists, helping the team secure Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League titles.
Despite his previous success, the England international has struggled to make an impact this season.
In Saturday's 4-1 Premier League win over West Ham, Grealish remained on the bench, with Brazilian winger Savinho taking his place in the starting lineup.
The City coach explained that he expects Grealish to prove his worth and fight for his place in the team.
Guardiola explained: “Savinho is in better shape than Jack, and that is why I played with Savinho.”

“Do I want Jack who wins the treble? Yes, I do, but I'm trying to be honest with myself about it. They have to fight. You could say it's unfair.”
“If you think so, that's fine, but you have to prove (to me), 'Okay, I will fight with Savinho, to deserve to play in this position,' every day, every week, every month.”
Grealish's season was also disrupted by injuries, which limited his opportunities. He has started just six league games so far.
Despite his recent struggles, Guardiola expressed his confidence in the player's ability.
Guardiola added: “Two weeks ago he was injured and needs rhythm and play, but the players need training.”
“I have no doubt about the quality of Jack or any of these players. They wouldn't be here (otherwise).
“I know he can do it because I've seen him. I've seen his level, and I want that, in every training session and in every match.
Manchester City will return to competition in the FA Cup on January 11, hosting fourth-tier team Salford City.
