There's no easy way to put it: America's farmers They are in trouble.

Our farmers have lost more than $30 billion this year. A new farm bill to help them has stalled in Congress due to a Democratic filibuster. Four years of rising input costs and Regulatory overreach led by Biden Many family farms were put on the verge of extinction.

The good news is that America will soon have a friend for farmers in the White House. President-elect Trump scored win after win for our farm families during his first term, and I know this is one of his most important goals in his second term. But as the old saying goes, employees are policy.

That's why we need Brooke RollinsPresident Trump's nominee to serve as Secretary of Agriculture, will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Trump appoints Texan Brooke Rollins as Secretary of Agriculture

I worked with Brooke in the White House, where she and I were part of a group of women whom President Trump empowered to fight for his vision of America First. As director of the Domestic Policy Council and the Office of American Innovation, Brock mastered policy across the board and helped the president unleash the greatest economy in American history.

I've worked especially hard to break away from burdensome red tape like water policy in the United States, which… President Obama wanted To be used to regulate every stream, creek and pond in America.

Farming is not just an intellectual matter for Brock. She grew up in a small farming community in Texas, and comes from generations of hardworking American farmers. She studied agriculture at Texas A&M University and spent the early part of her career fighting to protect the interests of farmers. She was part of 4-H and FFA and raises steers with her four children.

Experts and lawmakers say American agriculture is poised to be next in cybersecurity in the new year

Not long ago, I joined Senator John Boozman, the ranking senator from Arkansas and incoming chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee, on a tour of farms in the Arkansas Delta. At the end of a long day of meeting with farmers, we sat down to a round table McGee, Arkansas. I've known for a while that our farming families were struggling but this event made it abundantly clear.

One by one, the farmers at the table told me how their neighbors and relatives had left the agricultural industry and had to scramble to find jobs elsewhere. They talked about how the prices of everything from fuel to seeds had risen, but the price their crops fetched in the market was not keeping up. They described it as a generational crisis.

I have always believed that farming is more than just a business. Especially in places like small-town Arkansas, it's a way of life. It's our state's culture and history and what binds communities like McGee together. If our farmers disappear, something crucial to the soul of Arkansas – and America – will disappear with them.

Brooke realizes this fact, and she's ready to do something about it. I know the first item on her to-do list is to work with the new Republican majorities in the House and Senate to pass a bill. Farm bill update – Legislation that has not been comprehensively revised for ten years. I know it will eliminate the regulatory red tape that holds our farmers back and turns a difficult task into an impossible task.

I know she is committed to improving broadband and connectivity in our small communities, and helping rural Arkansas connect to the world. I know she will fight to achieve President Trump's vision of a dominant America — in food, energy, and everything else.

My father used to say that if a country cannot feed itself, fuel itself, or fight for itself, it cannot survive. It is not dramatic to say that we are very close to that point, and we need a radical change in leadership to right the ship.

Brock Rollins is that leader. Brock confirmed as Minister of Agriculture. Stand up for America's farmers. Our preservation Agriculture industry -And the way of life of our nation.
