Five Premier League teams will seek to avoid upsets as the 2024/25 FA Cup third round continues with seven matches on Sunday.

Fifth-tier Tamworth were hoping for a big upset at home to Tottenham, while fourth-tier Bromley – promoted last season – visited Newcastle.

Ipswich Town were at home to Bristol Rovers and Stockport County visited Crystal Palace while two League One sides were chasing shocks, and Southampton were at home to Championship club Swansea City.

Arsenal also faced Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium in a Premier League match. Here's what happened, including scorers and highlights.

Arsenal vs Man United: Penalty shootouts are decisive

Bruno Fernandes' goal gave United the lead seven minutes after the end of the first half, but the momentum seemed to be in Arsenal's favor after Diogo Dalot received the visitors' second yellow card two minutes before Gabriel scored the equaliser.

United goalkeeper Altay Binder made a brilliant save from Martin Odegaard's penalty and repeated the trick against Kai Havertz in the shootout, as Ruben Amorim's side advanced 5-3 on penalties after holding out in a 1-1 draw.

Tamworth vs Tottenham: Tottenham survive fear

Spurs picked a strong side but faced an uncomfortable afternoon at the 4,000-capacity Lamb Ground, only taking the lead through a Nathan Cicona own goal in the 101st minute.

Dejan Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson also scored in extra time as Ange Postecoglou's side recorded an impressive 3-0 win.

Newcastle v Bromley: The Magpies are in action

Bromley, 12th in League Two, enjoyed a stunning start in front of more than 52,000 fans when Cameron Congreve won a header and scored from the rebound in the eighth minute.

Newcastle equalized eight minutes later through an excellent strike from Lewis Miley, and William Osula also scored an eye-catching goal in the 61st minute to score his first goal for the club, sealing a 3-1 win after a penalty kick by substitute Anthony Gordon in the first half.

Ipswich vs Bristol Rovers: The hosts knock on the gas

After being knocked out at home to Maidstone United last season, Ipswich were clearly determined to avoid another shock when Kalvin Phillips' long-range strike put the Tractor Boys ahead after 18 minutes.

Jack Clarke scored a double six minutes later, and Jack Taylor scored the third and final goal of the game eight minutes before half-time, although the absence of VAR reviews until the fifth round may have spared the midfielder from the ruling. Infiltration.

Crystal Palace v Stockport: Eze's goal wins it

England striker Eberechi Eze's fourth-minute goal proved to be the only goal of the game, as Palace went unbeaten in their nine-game run outside the EFL Cup.

The play-off-chasing Stockport side are winless in five games, although Isaac Olawofi was unfortunate to have his second-half shot saved by an inspired Matt Turner.

Southampton vs Swansea: Debling in the double

Kamaluddin Slimana's skillful first-time finish and Tyler Debling put Southampton 2-0 ahead at half-time on their way to their first win in 12 games.

Diebling took advantage of sloppy defending to add the final goal of the match after the break for the bottom side of the Premier League, although Joe Allen fired a low shot off the post from the edge of the penalty area for the team that had lost its last game. Three away.

Hull vs Doncaster: Rovers shock Tigers

Harry Clifton scored the decisive penalty as fourth-tier Doncaster won on penalties 5-4 after a 1-1 draw with Championship strugglers Hull.

Luke Molino's calm touch put Rovers ahead six minutes after half-time, but Gustavo Puerta equalized 10 minutes from normal time, after Mason Burstow's shot hit the post.
