Ryan Garcia posted today on X saying he “can't wait” To tell fans who he will fight next. He says fans can't say he fights “weak fights,” which is an indication that he won't have a rematch with Devin Haney next because that match will be viewed by fans as a weak match.

The De La Hoya Effect

Potential opponents that many believe Ryan (24-1, 20 KOs) could face next are one of these fighters:

– Teofimo Lopez
– Vasiliy Lomachenko

Of these two, Teofimo (21-1, 13 KO) would be the most likely due to Golden Boy Promotions president Oscar De La Hoya saying he wants him next with Ryan. Teofimo was also in London to attend the Ring Awards and met with Turki Al Sheikh. It's an easy fight, as Teo has no opponent, and he's fighting in the same division as 140-year-old Ryan.

Teofimo still holds the WBO light welterweight title and is one of the most popular fighters in the division. This would be an excellent fight, and the promotion would be huge because Teo can help generate fan interest. It won't just be Ryan doing all the hard work, like when he fought Devin Haney.

Kingry and Haney will likely fight again in 2025, provided Devin and Bill don't try to control Ryan, act like they're the A-side and insist he agrees to a VADA test. Boxing fans are still interested in a second fight between them, despite the one-sided nature of the confrontation that took place between them last April.

Avoid clay

If you're Garcia, it might be best for him to wash his hands of Haney and move on permanently. If he fights him, he will likely ruin the promotion by reminding fans and media that Kingry tested positive for Ostarine in the previous fight. Devin probably mentions it so frequently that it's Ryan's name Pull through the mud Several times when the battle is over. There will be no victory because its representative will be tarnished.

Clean break

There will be no progress if fans think Garcia is a drug cheat considering Haney has repeatedly told them he was dirty in the previous fight. It wouldn't be worth it for Ryan to fight Devin in the long run. It would be good if Haney didn't keep talking about Garcia's positive test result, but he was already talking about it up a storm last week during his training interviews in London.
