Boxing Day football can be one of the most entertaining periods of the Premier League season, and there have been plenty of performances this year.

The early game saw Manchester City drop further points, drawing 1-1 with Everton to extend their run without a win further.

But there were five more matches available at 3pm.

Wolverhampton then hosts Manchester United before Liverpool faces Leicester City.

Read on to see how the teams fared Thursday afternoon.

Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace

It was not a classic match on the south coast between Bournemouth and Crystal Palace.

The two teams tied without goals, a rare sight on Boxing Day.

Andoni Iraola had the opportunity to lead his team into the top four but failed to capitalize on it in front of the home team's fans.

It was an important point for Palace, who put some distance between themselves and the relegation zone.

Chelsea 1-2 Fulham

Chelsea dropped points again under Enzo Maresca, this time at home to Fulham.

The Blues took the lead through reliable Cole Palmer and looked in control of the game for most of the match.

But the Cottagers had no plans to come back and make up the loss, and they tied the game in the second half.

Harry Wilson came off the bench to score again, securing a crucial point for Fulham in the west London derby.

Rodrigo Muniz angered the visiting team's fans by scoring the winning goal in the 95th minute at Stamford Bridge.

Newcastle 3-0 Aston Villa

Newcastle's good form continued as they beat European rivals Aston Villa.

It was a fast start for the hosts, who took the lead in the second minute thanks to Anthony Gordon.

John Doran was sent off for Villa, albeit somewhat harshly, putting the visitors at a huge disadvantage.

A second goal from Alexander Isak put the game to bed, while Bruno GuimarΓ£es also had a late goal disallowed.

Joelinton's third goal was the cherry on top for the Magpies.

Nottingham Forest 1-0 Tottenham

Nottingham Forest suffered their ninth loss this season under Ange Postecoglou.

The hosts rarely saw the ball, but they took advantage of their opportunities in the first half.

Morgan Gibbs-White played through Anthony Elanga who slotted the ball over Fraser Forster to score the only goal of the match.

Spurs looked toothless in attack, especially Heung-Min Son, who was a shadow of Ange Postecoglou's men.

Southampton 0-1 West Ham

West Ham is equal on points with Tottenham after beating Southampton at St. Mary's.

It was a spirited performance from Saints, but they didn't have enough of a tank to break through the Hammers.

Captain Jarrod Bowen stepped up to score the only goal of the game, but it was more than enough to secure the three points.

The win relieves the pressure on Julen Lopetegui and moves West Ham towards the top half of the table.
