the previous-New York State Sen. Alessandra Biaggi faced online backlash after she asked a New York City man on the X, who was upset about the new congestion toll, to “get over it.”
Biaggi was responding to a video posted Monday on X of an Upper East Side One resident, identified as Andrew in the post, explained how the toll of congestion affected him personally, discussing how he had to “pay $9 to walk around the block,” adding that “something has to be resolved for the people of Manhattan.”
“Lord Jesus, get over it,” was Biaggi’s response to X.

Biaggi's response sparked immediate backlash from X users, with many feeling her response was insensitive.
“What is your net worth in Biaji and why do you hate workers so much?” one user asked.
“Get over it, poor people!” – Alessandra Biaggi,” another quipped.
Another user responded, saying: “Not everyone has enough money to afford this. How will people just get over it you insensitive clown.”
Biaggi's subsequent posts to X were flooded with “get over it” comments from users reminding the former senator that her comment didn't go down well with them.
When asked for comment before fox news digital, Biaggi responded, “Congestion pricing is a modern solution to financing our subways. Anyone who rides the subway knows it is in desperate need of upgrades that require funding. This should have happened sooner.”
