Will we see Santiago Castro agree to a move to the Premier League?
It looks like Castro will have plenty of options if he decides to leave Bologna soon, and he would certainly be a smart investment for Arsenal at the moment.
Mikel Arteta lacks quality and depth in his attack, having become overly reliant on Bukayo Saka in that area of the pitch, with the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli suffering significant drops in form.
However, Castro may feel he would get more playing time at a club like Newcastle or Aston Villa, which would certainly also look like tempting projects for him.
There will be competition from Ollie Watkins and John Doran at Villa Park, but Unai Emery has shown a willingness to trust and develop young players.
In the meantime, Newcastle would do well to consider investing in the best young talent To replace star striker Alexander Ishak.
