Aston Villa midfielder Emiliano Buendia has been linked with a move to Leeds United in recent months.
The 28-year-old attacking midfielder has struggled for regular football at the West Midlands club, and TV commentator Ian Darke has now urged the player to make a move to the Championship club.
Darke believes Buendia would be a good signing for most mid-table Premier League clubs and could become a star in the Championship too. The South American midfielder needs to play regularly to return to his past and Aston Villa will not be able to give him that opportunity.
L said Aston Villa news: “A loan away to a big club in the Championship or even in the Premier League might suit him, but then Villa may not want to release too much of their squad as they progress further into the Champions League.
“He has been linked with a move to Leeds United – a loan there would be ideal for minutes, restoring his confidence as a sought-after starter.”
Buendia needs more chances
The Premier League side are well equipped in attacking areas and the South American may need to leave to play more often. In addition, They are looking for attacking reinforcements also.
Buendia has not yet started any match in the English Premier League or Champions League with Aston Villa this season. He played in the League Cup and managed to produce an MVP performance in the cup competition.
He has the quality to succeed in the tournament and He could be a useful player for Leeds. It remains to be seen whether the Whites will decide to make a move in their favor before the window closes. A loan move will help him get regular playing time during the second half of the season, and could help him regain his fitness. If he can impress during his loan spell, it could help him secure a permanent exit from Aston Villa in the summer.
